There is a new and exciting opportunity here at Bookcliff for students who are interested in Math, Engineering, and Science Achievement. The Mesa Program will offer weekly meetings to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders after school, and will take students to different schools throughout the valley to participate in competitions. We will visit Eureka (Math & Science Center) at CMU and there will be an Egg Drop competition held at Colorado Mesa University.
Possible competitions include making boats out of milk jugs, building pop bottle rockets, designing an egg drop contraption, and so much more. This will be a fun group of students looking to build relationships and community through science based activities. This group will go all year long, with a once a month competition. If you are in a sport or plan to play a sport this year, you can still be in the program, please let an adviser know as soon as possible.
